This high output oil pump 5.4 lt for the BA to FG boss engines is fitted with std gears.

Using a std style oil pump is only suitable to be used in an engine that will never see consistent higher revving.

Engines that see enthusiastic driving should have their oil pump gears upgraded to billet gears. The factory style gears are what’s called powdered metal and are fragile to cracking and complete failure. this can be a very costly repair if it ever happens to your self.
